Hi, I'm Susan!

It all began with a sketchbook and a quiet urge to create. When I discovered surface design and illustration, something settled into place. It felt like finding my creative home, a place where ideas could take shape and come alive.

I’m a surface pattern designer and artist creating work for fabric, wallpaper, apparel, and original art.

Based in Ohio, I draw inspiration from wooded parks, winding trails, and peaceful kayak adventures. My sketchbooks are always close, filled with spontaneous doodles and imperfect marks that often find their way into my designs, adding texture, warmth, and personality.

Alongside my surface pattern collections, I create small original works rooted in intuition and daily practice, a quieter extension of my creative process.

When I’m not designing, I’m usually dreaming up my next DIY project. I have a soft spot for power tools and a deep appreciation for creative chaos. I’m always exploring new ways to weave art, curiosity, and delight into everyday life.
